LetsGoal Privacy Policy

LetsGoal (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a goal-setting and social accountability app that helps people create goals, share progress, follow others, and stay motivated together. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how it is shared, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: email address, username, and encrypted password (when you sign up with email).
Profile information: name, profile photo, and other content you choose to add to your profile.
Goal and social content: goals (including public/private visibility), progress posts, images, videos, captions, comments, reactions, follows, and related in-app activity.
Authentication data: if you sign in with Google or Facebook, we may receive your name, email address, profile image URL, and a provider account identifier.
Technical information: session data and technical request information needed to operate and secure the service (such as IP address and device/browser details associated with API requests).
Support communications: information you send us by email when you contact support.

2. How We Use Information

To create and manage your account and keep you signed in.
To provide core features such as goal tracking, progress sharing, search, feeds, follows, comments, reactions, and notifications.
To respect goal visibility settings (for example, private goals are limited to the goal owner).
To authenticate users and protect account security.
To send important service emails, such as password reset messages.
To host, store, and deliver media you upload (for example profile photos and progress media).
To improve reliability, performance, and user experience.
To respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.

3. Third-Party Sign-In

If you sign in with Google or Facebook, those providers may share limited account information with us so we can create or link your LetsGoal account and authenticate you. We do not receive your third-party password. Your use of those providers is also governed by their own privacy policies.

4. How Information Is Shared

Other users: public profile information, public goals, and related public activity may be visible to other LetsGoal users. Private goals are intended to be visible only to you.
Service providers: we use vendors that help operate the app, such as cloud hosting, media storage/delivery, and email delivery. These providers process information on our behalf.
Legal and safety: we may disclose information if required by law, or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, or integrity of LetsGoal, our users, or the public.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data Storage and Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted password storage and authenticated sessions. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and comply with legal obligations. If you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify associated personal data subject to those requirements.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You can update profile information in the app.
You can set goals as public or private.
You can delete your account and related data from the app where available, or by contacting us.
You can stop using the service at any time.

8. Children's Privacy

LetsGoal is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

9. International Users

LetsGoal may be hosted and processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate. If you use the app from another country, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those locations.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of LetsGoal after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
